Overview

The truly exacting standards of glass manufacturing places demands on sensor vision technology implemented to ensure such perfection. Measuring both stationary and moving glass at various temperatures, our sensors must penetrate and effectively measure challenging surface properties to identify the smallest of defects – often at intensely rapid speeds.

Expertise

LMI sensors are designed with special laser lighting and image processing software to extract thickness information from the image of the laser beam as it passes through the glass. This allows our sensors to provide accurate measurements in real time and deliver instant data throughput. Using our sensors, glass manufactures can detect the smallest of defects on the thinnest, clearest, most reflective of surfaces, as is the case with LCD glass.
